Accident Repair Technician Level 3
24 - 26 months
Level 3
40.00 hours per week, 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday
There are no specific entry requirements for our programme, we're just looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to making a career in the repair industry.
Ideally you will hold your Maths and English GCSEs, however if you do not, we can support you on completing these before you complete your apprenticeship.
You will work full-time at one of our repair centres alongside your colleagues and assigned mentors.
The classroom based learning is provided by Blackpool and The Fylde College. This will be arranged in block release at the college's Bispham Campus. This will be a week long schedule taking place Monday to Friday 09:00 to 16:30.
Both in the workplace and college the apprentice will be fully supported throughout the entire learning journey.
In the workplace apprentices will be assigned trainers who are specialised and fully qualified in the area they are learning in conjunction with what area they are learning at college. As well as trainers, apprentices will have a mentor - this is someone who the apprentice will be able to confide in, they are there to listen, advise, and to provide guidance and support.
At college, apprentices will have specialised teachers, as well as a mentor who they will be available to contact any time of day or evening. Furthermore, they will also be assigned their own skills coach who will have regular visits to the site to see how they are progressing. Additionally, while staying in the Halls of Residence apprentices will have be able to speak to the evening warden or they will have access to contact their mentor at the college or work.
Once you have completed your Multi Skilled Apprenticeship, you will classed as a developer for a further three years, during this time you will be able to specialise in one or more of the following:
MET Technician, Panel Technician, Paint Technician or Vehicle Damage Assessor.
All apprentices will also be trained to work with Electric and Hybrid vehicles.
Additionally, we will be providing external training in welding, riveting, panel bonding, Air-conditioning, Hybrid, and wheel alignment.
