The overview of working as a Paint Improver includes preparing vehicles to a high standard. The role requires you to perform detail inspections, attend to minor issues and defects and provide excellent customer service including assisting customers were applicable.

 

Core duties and responsibilities:

• Prepping parts to be painted
• Sanding down panels using different grades of paper
• Masking parts up ready for paint, prime and filling
• Repairing defects in fresh paint work
• Light repair work and polishing
• In charge of final inspection of paint work
• Dealing with the rectification of dirt inclusions and defects in new paint
• Understand methods of minimizing contamination during preparation of surfaces to be painted
• All PPE equipment should be checked daily and fit for use log sheet signed on a weekly basis. 

About you:

• Have previous prepping/polishing experience.
• Are good at time management and meeting targets.
• Are customer focused and want to provide the best possible service.
